  This placed closed down commercial fishing in all of Sydney, and recreational fishing west of Sydney Harbour Bridge. Polluted by Union Carbide with agent Orange. Covered up by the NSW Labor Party who passed legislation ensuring that Union Carbide couldn't be sued. Union Carbide simply handed over the land for free (which as it was one of the most toxic places in the world wasn't a great loss to them) Government then gave it to developers if they would clean it up, so another sweat deal for Labor Party mates saw mega waterfront development land handed over for a few lousy million spent on cleanup. See post at Luna Park where Labor Party gave away primo waterfront to developers on a 99 year lease for a few dollars and an agreement to run a side show! Corruption in NSW.........They keep getting cleanaway with it!.
