Pocklington School , is a public (private and thus fee-paying) school in Pocklington, East Yorkshire, England. Pocklington School was founded in 1514 by John Dolman. The school is situated in 70 acres, on the outskirts of a small market town, 12 miles from York and 20 miles from Hull. It is an Anglican foundation but pupils from all denominations are accepted. There are currently around 700 pupils in the senior school. On the same site as Pocklington School which accepts pupils between the ages of 11-18 is Lyndhurst School which accepts pupils between the ages of 7-11.
