This works produces a small range of incandescent lamps and Fluorescent Tubes under the Neesae, Aton and Crompton brands. Opened in 1947 as a joint venture with Philips of the Netherlands and the Egyptian Government, it has been majority owned by the Egyptian Government since 1960.
It is one of the major lamp producers on the African Continent and supplies lamps to the local market, (Aton brand), the Middle Eastern market, (NEESAE brand) and exports, (Crompton brand).
