The "Monkeys river" (rio dos Macacos) fall from 70 meters, over the rocks, making a four natural swimming pools. After the pools there is other waterfall called Redondo, with about 30 meters high and 20 meters width, making a wonderful look. It can be viewed from a long distance, from the train window. You can reach the montain with the waterfall after 3 hours of a medium/hard trekking, starting in "over harbor" (Porto de Cima). Be careful, the trail is very closed by the atlantic forest and its easy to lost the way. by dkk
