road, interesting place
Grooves are cut into the asphalt at specific intervals so that while driving over them automobile tires will produce a melody. This one apparently plays a 30 second tune (at 45 km/h [28mph]) by Kyu Sakamoto.
The concept was created by a Mr. Shinoda, working with the Hokkaido Industrial Research Institute. "Melody Roads" are now located in the provinces of Hokkaido, Wakayama and Gunma.
