Mountain View Cemetery, established in 1853, is located on the corner of 2nd Ave and Abbott Road with the entrance gate facing North on 2nd. On its East side it parallels Howard Street.

Mountain View is a large cemetery comprised of four sections, some of which were originally separate cemeteries. It is now owned by the city of Walla Walla. This cemetery is fenced, grassed and has large old trees. There are numerous graves without headstones.
There are some interesting headstones here, including a "witch" and her child, who were killed, they have hands pointing down (to hell) on their tombstones.
