place with historical importance, street, pedestrian area, interesting place
One of the most famous streets in Vienna. It owns its name to the fact that here was one of the trenches ("Graben") of the Roman town Vindobona (which later became Vienna). It is presently a nice walk place, with lots of leisure shops; it is a pedestrian zone since 1974 (the first pedestrian zone in Vienna)
