Salt is a village in Poland located in Silesia, in the district of Zywiec, in the municipality Rajcza.
It lies in the western part of the group of Velka Raca in the south - western part of the Beskidy Mountains, in the district in the Silesia region Żywiec.
It is situated in the valley Słanicy between Rachowcem ( north ) and back Oźnej mountan.
The history of salt dates back to the eighteenth century, when it was inhabited by 15 farmers. In the years 1975-1998 was a village in the province of Bielsko .
The village probably founded in the sixteenth century, founded by settlers Wallachian, who came from the Hungarian side.
