Built between 1964-66 as the Century Plaza Hotel, to designs by architect Minoru Yamasaki, designer of New York's World Trade Center. It closed from 2016-2021 for a huge $2.5 billion overhaul that added two towers of luxury condos behind the hotel where the pool once was. Reopening as Fairmont Century Plaza Los Angeles.
