Famous KalGarudan as Moolavar(As well as Vahanam)is a specility of this temple.Car festival in Panguni and Tank Float festival in Margazhi months are worth a visit for enjoying and to be blessed by Perumal.There is small beautiful tank adjoining the temple.

Maraiamman Koil festival for 10 days in Vaikasi month also attract lot of crowds.

Thirunaraiyur Shiva temple, a historic one also situated here.Thirunariyur Nambi ( Around AD970 to AD 1020 ) a Savite scholar and an infant prodigy patronized by Sembian Madevi,great aunt of RajaRaja, the greatest of all time Cholas lived here.

Natcharkoil is well known for manufacture of brass and bronze lamps distributed all over India and abroad.

Vaidhiyanadha Dikshitar author of Vaidhiyanatha Dikishiyam ( essence of Dharma Shastram - Name of the book given by the author " Smurthi Mukthabhala Nibandana Grandham") being last of Nibandhana Grandham,whose code of Proccedures are followed by South Indians,both by Vaishnavites & Saivaites today in daily life and religious events/rituals lived in Kandramanickam village near Natcharkoil - 250 years before.

Famous Thavil Vidwan Raghava Pillai,Rajam DuraiKannu brothers (Guru of Sheikh Chinna Maulana)Nagaswaram,Comedy actor A.Karunanidhi are all from this place.
