This unique small village has had a rich history of culture. Late Rakhal Bhattacharya (father of infamous Bholtu and Poltu) lived here, among other known dignitaries.
All seven children of late Hemangini and Bhupendranath Das and their many cousins went to the grammer school here in this village.
Ashok and Alok still live in their Family home in the village of Samsabad nearby.

  • The village is famous not only for the brambhins but for Panaha ullaha and Refi ullaha. Md Salim is a famous successor of Refi. now the village is running with his finger.
