There are large areas outside this core campus which belong to both universities.
In this area, the campuses of Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Kameshwar singh Sanskrit University and Postal Training College are located. The head office of the Mithila University is in Nargona Palace and the Sanskrit University is in Laxmi Vilas Palace of the Darbhanga Raj. The members of the remaining Raj family also live in the north side of this area in Rambagh Palace.

  • In this campus between the two Universities, there is a shrine called the Mazar of Makhdoom Baba. People of all faith can come and offer prayers in this holy place.

  • hi!this is MUKESH(kiit,university,bhubaneswar) wants to say something about this "MITHILA UNIVERSITY".which is the oldest university in india.This place is very nice ,attractive&has got natural look ."Shyama mandir" which is the holy place for the people of DARBHANGA various people from the other district came here to watch this holy place.This temle consists various other temple in its campus.Their is more to say about the history of this "MITHILA UNIVERSITY" but in short of time i gave this much message to the viewrs.By to c u again ....................

  • Hi Darbhanga is a place were people of different caste stay together with all peace and harmony. If you want to visit some holy places, there are many like Shyama mandir . In that campus several temples are there . Near to shayama mandir is manokamana mandir, where people write their wishes on the wall of temple to be fulfilled. The Hotel Rajasthan is a famous and old hotels of darbhanga. Some of the top schools are Holy Cross Schools, Madonna, Jesus and merry, L. R Girls High school, M L Academy
