Binghamton High School is Binghamton's only public education high school. The school was first established as Binghamton Central High School. In 1982, a renovation of the main existing school was begun along with construction of two additional wings of the school, an athletics building and the second contains mostly district offices. Once completed, Binghamton North High School was closed, and this school became known as Binghamton High School. As of 2006, there are approximately 1600 students.

  • The square, upper-right portion is the original high school building. The left and lower sections were added on in the 1970's. Counted among its students were TV comedy actor Richard Deacon (The Dick Van Dyke Show) and writer/producer Rod Serling (The Twilight Zone, Night Gallery).
