Horsten RAA during REFORGER 1987 near Bergen-Belsen

REFORGER 87 ( Return of Forces to Germany ). The largest deployment of U.S. soldiers to land in Europe since D-Day in World War II. Most soldiers were from Fort Hood, Texas. Operation Certain Strike, was over and soldiers returned to RAA ( Redeployment Assembly Area). Hot showers, hot chow ( no MREs ), Burger King Express van/truck, and the beer tent ( eine kalt bier bitte,- one cold beer please ).Sept and Oct 2007 has been 20 years!
