The Fencer Fountain (Wroclaw)

The Fencer Fountain (Szermierz) was designed by professor of art Hugo Lederer, and stands in the middle of University Square since 1904. It is the favorite place of meetings and happenings for students of University of Wroclaw. The Fencer is very often victim of student pranks, ranging from removing his sabre to "swimming" around in kayak. It says that the statue will come to life when a virgin graduates.
