Wroclaw Pergola - pergola in the shape of half of the ellipse, built in the early twentieth century, around the pond, with a fountain on the exhibition grounds in the eastern part of Wroclaw. Centennial Exhibition, planned for the centenary of the victorious Prussian battle of Leipzig (1813) was part of the celebrations commemorating the rise of the Prussian state in Europe. Pergola is positioned at the north-east side of Centennial Hall, together with other accompanying facilities (including the Four Domes Pavilion). It was designed by Hans Poelzig as two rows of pillars of reinforced concrete topped with a lattice, on that are vines. According to official data, length of the pergola is 640 meters and has a total of 750 posts.
