Scharnhorst was a light battleship or a battlecruiser.She was named after the Prussian general and army reformer Gerhard von Scharnhorst.Scharnhorst often sailed into battle accompanied by her sister-ship, Gneisenau. She was sunk after being engaged by Allied forces at the Battle of North Cape in December 1943.

  • He was named after the ship that was sunk in the battle of Cononel islands. I dont know the actual name but Admrial graf von spee was killed.
  • World War I "Scharnhorst" was sunk in the battle of Falkland Islands, not Coronel - which is a city in Chile, not an island.
