Also known as Scotsman's Knob. This is a mound which would once have had an oak post positioned atop of it because it was a "moot point" in early times. People met here to publicly resolve disputes. The centre of the mound was apparently excavated in the 19th century. Sit in the hollow on a windy gale - a haven of calm.

The Knob is not in fact hwere shown, but to the East end of the wood.
