Abbaye d'Ardenne ["Ardenne's Abbey"] : Porte de Bayeux ["Bayeux's Gate"]

This gate was built in the 13th century ; it is the oldest vestige of the abbey. It used to be called grande porte de la basse-cour ["Great Gate of the barnyard"] ou vieille porte ["Old Gate"], compared with the Porte Saint-Norbert ["St Norbert's Gate"], built in the 17e.
