Earlier known as 'Adavanne' transformed to 'Yedavani' and now popularly called 'Yedvanne'. Village attains its glory during weeklong festival celebrated to offer special prayers to all the dieties of the village(surprisingly around 14 of them )held exactly after a period of 15 days from ugadi(chandramana ugadhi{april/may}). this village lies in the bank of river shimsha, tributary of river cauvery; agriculture is mainly dependent on monsoon rains.Part of the village here is also irrigated by a canal from markonahalli dam.
