Over 200 years old, The Ferry Tavern is somewhat unique as a public house. Located on the banks of the River Mersey, one must cross a railway serving Fiddler's Ferry power station and the Sankey Navigation Canal to reach it. The pub offers many different real ales and specialises in a number of single malt whiskeys. Each year, the Glastonferry music festival is hosted and features several tribute acts. Customers are often greeted by the owners dog, an Alsatian named Lewis.
