A five-star hotel in central Khartoum, the capital of Sudan, located on the banks of the Blue Nile, next to the Friendship Hall of Khartoum and the Tuti Bridge.

It was completed on September 1, 2007 as the Burj Al Fateh and has 21 floors, 230 luxury rooms, 6 Restaurant/Cafés and extensive leisure facilities. It was built and financed by the Libyan government at a cost of $80 million. The building has an oval curved facade and is designed to resemble a sailing boat.

  • The Tower looks great in the heart of our capital.Ithought it was agift from the liybian leader not an investment!!! Personally Iagree with you all..its ashame that we lost our wonderful Zoo.and all of our happy childhood memories in that zoo. Are we getting a new gift replacment zoo from Mr Gaddaffi???????? Khartoum Zoo was one of the first to be build in africa and animals used to be sent across the world to other zoo's in europe and the US..by the way, where did all the animals go???? ihope we didnt eat them in Ashawrma sandwich.LOL
