Model of the statue has been implemented known Russian sculptor Ivan Vitali Petrovich on ceremonial portrait of Emperor brush S.S. Schukin. The first statue, cast in bronze, was installed in Gatchina 1 Aug., 1851 during the reign of Emperor Nicholas I, the son of Paul I. The second sculpture has been constructed and installed in Pavlovsk later, in 1872, according to the commandment of Pavlovsk owner of Grand Duke Konstantin Nikolayevich. A copy was performed using electrotype Sokolov master alloy of zinc and lead.
