Housing complex of 900 units in 17 buildings, built by the El Hogar Obrero Cooperative between 1964 and 1968 - the second-largest of their numerous such developents, next to their Tapiales complex.

Established in 1905, El Hogar Obrero was the largest non-government builder of affordable housing in Argentina, particularly in the Buenos Aires metro area, from the 1910s until its bankruptcy in 1991 due to a Central Bank bail-in. It also managed the Supercoop supermarket chain (300 outlets), which was mostly divested to local retail conglomerate Coto under judicial pressure.

El Hogar Obrero, however, remains in operation - though at a much smaller scale than in its heyday from the '50s to the '80s.
