fraternal organization, Egyptian Revival (architecture)
Oldest secret society at Yale. Reportedly founded by disgruntled undergraduates who were not accepted for Phi Beta Kappa. Tries to select the BMOCs for its members, similar to its fellow societies Wolf's Head and Scroll & Key.
The clubhouse was built c. 1856 in the Egyptian Revival style to likely a design by Alexander Jackson Davis. A 1912 addition was designed by Tracy & Swartwout.
