Derhachi is a city in the Kharkiv Oblast (district) of the Kharkiv Raion (region) of Ukraine.
It is the administrative center of the Derhachi Urban Hromada (community).
Until July 17, 2020, it was the center of the former Derhachi Raion (district).
Population: 17,139 (2022).

The settlement appeared in the second half of the 17th century as an outpost of the Kharkiv fortified line.
1660 is considered the date of its foundation.
Dergachi received city status in 1977.

  • A user gave the following evaluation in the description space, and I (DW) transferred it to the comment section: It is a very good place from some points of vision. It is not a place of some perspectives, it is just a place where you can live, grow kids, and staff like that. It is near Harkiv, and it is a bit more looks like a vilage not a city. And this is good, it is place where people mostly lives in their own houses, I mean that all the house and private territory belongs to family, to live not in flats of big city house, like in towns. I do really prefer places like that =)
  • to the previous comment: It's no so good place for living. We have a huge dump of waste garbage in north east. And additionally there is radioactive waste storage field in the district of Dergachi (south west, near Semenovka village)
