Husseini Mosque (Amman)

It is decorated in pink and white stone, and a plaque on the wall reveals that the original mosque was built by Omar Ibn al Khattab, the Second Caliph of Islam (634-644). Emir Abdullah built a new mosque on the site, and restoration work was carried out by King Hussein in 1987.
