ruins, village
A hacienda (crossroads) that was a shelter for Pancho Villa's soldiers. According to my grandmother Soledad Rios Gamboa; Pancho Villa's soldiers ambushed the government officials and troops and hung them on tall trees called Alamos (La Lameda). My grandmother said she would wake up to see "los pelones" (the soldiers) hung by there neck dead. So, they came up with Malpaso which means "wrong step". Lots of treasures were hidden in the churches and graves. Famous for the Tortas De Chorizo.
