Also known as "Glushylka". There were three such towers here, the two others were demolished in 2006. In Soviet (Cold War) times (before 1989) they were used to jam "Radio Free Europe" and "Voice of America" broadcasts.
After that, they were used as communication towers to support different cellular networks, emergency and rescue services and FM broadcasting in Lviv.
