  About 15 years ago we tried to camp in the State Park, what a mistake. We left after 1 day because the rangers kept coming to our site checking on us. The camp ground was about 85% empty and nobody around us. We had to move our tents from the grass onto the gravel spots to save the grass. My son was there last year and had the same issue; rangers kept coming into the site to see what they were doing and to make sure they weren't on the grass. Who wants to go camping and have someone checking on you every couple hours. There is a private camp ground on 118 that's much better.
