Syed Maqsood Ali Shah Gillani sahib lives in this village. Syed Maqsood Shah is a famous political personality of this area. Shah sahib had been chairman of Union Council Kot-Sandara. There is a beautiful Darbar Sharif of Syed Hassan Ali Shah Gillani sahib Rahmatullah Aleh. This village is situated at Chunian Road. Syed Tahir Masood Gillani S/O Syd Maqsood Ali Gillani alos comes from this beautiful village. Syed Tahir Masood Gillani is one of the well educated gentle man in this area. He completed his B.A. and M.A. from Punjab University Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. Syed Tahir Sahib was very zealious for studying law. So he completed his L.L.B from Baha Uddin Zakaria University Multan. Shah sahib practised as a lawyer at Chunian and Pattoki, and decided to move to the United Kingdom.

Syed Ejaz Akhtar Gillani, a famous writer and journalist, also comes from this village. Syed Ejaz Gillani did masters in journalism and oriental languages from punjab university and has been working as Editor of monthly Sahil-e-Rang,kasur as well as the Secretary General of Gulistan Adabbi Society Chunian, his father Syed Dildar Hussain Shah and Syed Maqsood Ali Shah were the pattron. This informative magazine is very popular in youth in this area.Later Syed Ejaz Gillani worked as Sub.Editor/Feature writer in Family Magazine of Nawa e Waqt Lahore.He visited Iran and iraq in 1996 and writen a Book"Sarzameen e khak o khoon".This Book was appericiated by all circles in Pakistan and abroad.Syed ejaz gillani also won the prize in international essay writing compitation orginased by Voice of Germany in 1992.He was invited and participated in verious televison shows as writer, journalist and social worker.Syed Ejaz gillani also has been ejoying the status of President of 300 NGOS Network of Antinarcotics force punjab in district Kasur for 3 years.He did marvellious job as Director Information &Publication Division of The Awami Saqafti Anjuman,Chunian Kasur.Syed Ejaz Gillani also served as Public Relation Officer /Media coordinator at Jinnah hospital/Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore.Syed Ejaz Gillani was awarded Achavement Award by the Punjab Press Council,Lahore.Syed Ejaz Gillani immigrated to Canada in 2006 and now residing in Winnipeg Manitoba with his family.Currently He is working for urdu newspaper Sundaytimescanada as Resident Editor.He is also writing column "Boonda Bandi"regularly.

Haji Molana Ghulam Mohayyuddin sahib was from this village. Hajib sahib studied for Dars-e-Nizami from Braili sharif, india. He was a highly learnt scholar of his time. Haji sahib was a student of Molana Amjad Azami sahib author of Bahar-e-Shariat. Recently, this great teacher has left this world. May Allah SWT rest in peace the departed soul.
