Over the last several years, the National Assembly have approved many important laws who has promoted a process of intensive democratization of the social activities in Vietnam and firmly established the right of the people to be master of the country and the implementation of social management by means of the constitution and the law.

The National Assembly has issued important policies of National interest. In addition to determining the State Budget and contributing to the development of the economy, society, culture and education the National Assembly has also issued policies on ethnic issues, national security, defense and foreign affairs.
