Okutama-ko is a man-made lake which appeared at the completion of Ogouchi dam among mountains. It is not open for leasure, but for fishing except some area. There is a museum called "Mizu-to-Midori-no-Fureai Kan," (The Okutama Watershed Museum-Visitor's "Fureai" Center) the visitor's center near the dam, which exhibits the importance of water, functions of a dam and the history of Okutama. Visitors by car would enjoy driving along the lake to the floating bridge or the recreation center in the natural park on the round trip road (Yama-no-Furusato-mura).
