The land to build this Railway Station was donated by Mr. Kshitish Mohan Lahiri, the Zaminder of Mohanpur, Pabna. Mr. K.M. Lahiri was the father of famous freedom fighter (Kakori Conspiracy Case) of undivided India, Mr. Rajendra Nath Lahiri.
