Durgapur - peaceful serene village of about 300 Sikh families. Rural community located on the Main SultanpurLodhi-Kapurthala Road near PAJIAN Railway station . Within 1 km of Pajian stop. Across the Kali bein River in the loop of the River lies this beautiful Model Village with wide roads, clean streets, tubewells flowing, green fields of rice and wheat as well as potatoes, vegetables of all sorts. About 13 KM away si the historic town of Sultan Pur Lodhi with so many Gurdwaras such as Hatt sahib, Ber Sahib, Bebe nanaki Gurdwara, Nanaki's house, Guru nank's House, Gurdwara where Guru Ji read the Namaz with the Kazi etc etc and Guru harkishan Public School.
Take the Bus to /Pajian/Marrypur/Lohian/ from Kapurthaala or Sultanpur bus stands and get off at Durgapur stop just after turn off after Pajian stop. Next to Durgapur Bus stop is the house of Rattan Singh Tarsem Singh, shop of Rattan Singhs brother and house of hsi elder brother. The Village Gurdawra is a nice big building.
