the wilhelminabridge named after prinses wilhelmina of the Netherlands, joins the provinces of Overijssel and Gelderland in Deventer

the bridge was built between 1939 and 1943, but was destroyed after the withdrawel of german forces.
the bridge became world famous when it was used as a stand in for the Rijnbrug in arnhem in the film A Bridge Too Far, this because the original RFijnbrug was unusable because of the after war buildings.
