museum, landmark, interesting place, town hall, listed building / architectural heritage
The old town hall of Nurmeberg is one of the few buildings in Nuremberg which are influenced by the Renaissance. Most buildings are gothic.
It was destroyed in second world war and rebuilt in 1956.
The old town hall is - besides its administrative functions - the entrance to the Lochgefaengnisse. Those are old dungeons from the middle-ages. Tourists can get a tour and look at old cells and torture instruments.
