  • Was here with wife in June 2008. This temple is the site where the King of Chiangmai built a temple for the relic of Lord Buddha. Story goes the King then received a Buddha relic and wanted to build a temple.. he put the relic in an enclosed stupa on a white elephant.. and the white elephant left Old Chiangmai City via the Northern gate.. and walked up the mountain to this very spot.. encircled the spot 3 times.. and sat down and expired having served its purpose. Thus the temple was built there.. you can read the full story when u visit the temple.. beautiful scenery up the mountain. Beautiful Temple structures.
  • One of my favorite places in the world to go. Try to get here at least once a year.
