Gynn Square (Blackpool)

United Kingdom / England / Blackpool
 square, park

A focal point in North-shore Blackpool, once famous for its non-moving, but beautifully-lit carousel in the middle of the roundabout, removed by the council because it was expensive to maintain.

There is a small but well-kept park here amid the small hotels and large houses. The park has pitch and putt and crazy golf and plenty of seats for a lazy afternoon.

Some refreshments are sold in the park but there are plenty of shops nearby on Dickson Road.

Incidentally - the name is spoken with a hard 'g' as in "begin" NOT the soft 'g' as in the drink "gin and tonic".
