 The Alexandria Chamber Of Commerce is Founded in 1922, so it is considered one of the oldest Chambers in Region.
 The ACC is non governmental organization devoted to endorse the cooperation between its members and is running the wholesale market of vegetables and fruits & fishes .
 Membership is compulsory among the registered enterprises, and is growing annually.
 The highest body of the ACC is the board of directors, it comprises 18 members half of them are elected and the others are nominated by the minister of supply and home trade and is guardian od the rights fixed in the statutes .
 The management chaired by the Secretary General follows the guidelines set out by the board .
 The ACC represents over 168000 members and is working through 36 commercial sectors catering for all commercial branches , exercing moral influence upon the Administrative competent authorities E.g. The main Commercial Sectors
 International maritime Transport .
 Freight forwarders .
 Computer & Information
 Export Import .. Fruits.Vegetables
 Ready made garments..Coffee..Poultry ..Bakeries..Textile.Woods. Fishes.Jewelers

Due to the efforts done by this Sectors many agreements were hammered out between the fiscal Administration and the contributors, to settle any dispute rising , of the hard implementation of the legislation's in force and to avoid the narrow interpretation of related decrees .
We must point out the forums sponsored by Acc during which major problems and economic issues and controversial questions were debated , in the presence of the eminent Responsible and Specialists .

The ACC grew aware of its Social task , and contributes in the embellishment and the Urban management of the city .

Association of Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce & Industry and it presides the commission of environment belonging to this
The ACC underwent significant renovation with the establishment of fully equpied information Technology Center accessible for Alexandrine Business Community aiming to improve computer skills and to provide required information to Sm & m enterprises .
This Center is in the way to award the International Computer Driving License (ICDL) to the trainees according to the European standards.
