Located on Hatta (UAE) - Al Aqur (Oman) road, the Hatta checkpoint is maintained by the emirate of Dubai. Formalities are relatively easy. The border post is open 24 hours.

EXIT FORMALITIES
To exit, you simply have to stop at the very first booth on the right side and hand in your passport / GCC national ID / UAE resident ID. Within seconds, you will receive them back.

ENTRY FORMALITIES
If you have any GCC nationality, you can pull up at any of the office windows directly at the street coming straight from Oman.
If you are a non-GCC foreigner or need visa on arrival, stop at the parking lot to the right and go to the backside of the customs building where special queues and windows are open for foreigners.
Once all formalities are done, your car may be searched right before the final checkpoint where your visa stamp and papers will be checked once again. Welcome to UAE.
