I went to this restaurant across from the Daewoo Trump building in Bummeo dong. The restaurant's name is Mr. Chow. It is authentic Hong Kong style Chinese food. It is in the block between Hwangum Neggori and Ariana Hotel.

We went during lunch. There are five lunch sets ranging from 11,000 to 18,000 won. We chose the 14,000 option. This included salad bar, dimsum bar, wonton soup, barbecued pork and duck, and fried rice. The salad bar was nothing to write about. It was only five options and the green salad was limp. The dim sum was delicious but they only offered three choices that day: pork dumpling, shrimp dumpling and a seafood dumpling. The won ton soup was refreshing and homemade. This stuff is not out of a can. With a delicious won ton and a fresh head of baby bokchoy. But the star of the meal was barbecued pork and duck. It was delicious. It was moist and flavorful. I could have been sitting on the harbor in Hong Kong. Then came the fried rice, now this isn't your typical glue that comes with Chinese restaurants back home. This stuff had the barbecue pork, fresh shrimp and vegetables. It was little sauted and served with Chinese chili sauce. This was delicious but it was not a huge quantity of food. Think quality not quantity when heading to Mr. Chow's. So we ordered the spring rolls. I don't know about you, but a good spring roll is something I miss. These were quite good. Again, not out of a box at your local supermarket. They were stuffed wtih pork and bean sprouts. I would stay clear of the sauce. But for 6,000 for eight it was one of the best bargains on the menu.

In conclusion, I would recommend Mr. Chow to the person who love authentic Chinese Food, who doesn't mind paying for quality over quantity (average meal between 20-30,000 won per person) and wants a dining experience unique to Daegu.
