Jordan Creek Town Center brings a new level of shopping and entertainment to Central Iowa. The two million square foot center tries really hard to be a Town Center for West Des Moines, but has yet to materialize as such. Jordan Creek highlights three distinct features:

The Shopping District is a two level mall full of lots of high-fashion stores.

The Lake District highlights a 3.5 acre lake surrounded by bike trails, pedestrian walkways, and a boardwalk offering waterfront dining, a hotel and amphitheater.

The Village hosts a collection of large and specialty retailers in an open-air lifestyle design.

  • Whoever wrote that must have something against Jordan Creek (maybe ties to Merle Hay or Valley West malls) because Jordan Creek is the most modern, upscale, and nicely designed area Central Iowa has ever seen. With all the resturaunts, new home developments, outlet malls, etc that are being build surrounding Jordan Creek, there is no doubt about it that the future West Des Moines will be surrounding Jordan Creek Mall.
  • West Des Moines is already growing fast, and thank is thanks to Wells Fargo. Jordan Creek is awesome, and brings in so much revenue to Dallas County. Dallas County is quickly feeling this growth, it was recently in the top 30 fastest growing counties in the United States. More is to come from Jordan Creek. A visit here is awewsome. The lake, the restaurants, boardwalk, hotels, this is more than just a mall, all this is just sorrounding the lake. We still have the mall portion too. The only problem is the traffic, and living in West Des Moines and see the growth we have gotten in the last few years is crazy, and with that comes the traffic. Right now, around Christmas it is just terrible.
  • Yeah, jordan creek rocks. It has a hot topic, because I'm a depressed emo kid from the suburban sprwawl of west des moines. The people of west des moines are all jackasses who think they are better than those from the real des moines. Oh, and they all work in des moines, but their tax money goes to west des moines, so des moines is going to shit. I love not being able to find my house when I go home because they all look alike. A tornado is going to run through here someday and tear apart everyones cheap synthetic housing.
