This place was founded by Sumithra, daughter of King Ashoka, while she was travelling to SriLanka through Odalarevu. This is very close to our village Moripolam. So the residents of Moripolam have made the Archeology Society of India to identify it as a tourist spot. It was done so and a land was purchased in order to build a Budha Vihar and a Pagoda there. This is going to be a very good attractive tourist spot. This is located at the banks of Godavari River in Razole Taluk, East Godavari District, Andhrapradesh, India.

Every year all the employees staying in different parts of the country gather here to celebrate Budha Jayanthi with lot of pomp. The next day is being celebrated as Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar's Anniversary day in Moripolam. Villagers and all the employees join here with happiness conducting various programes and distributing prizes.

So anyone interested to visit this place please contact us for the guidance.
