Cap du Dramont

France / Provence-Alpes-Cote-dAzur / Saint-Raphael /

With its fiery red volcanic rocks, its white semaphore (the semaphore belongs to the French Navy and cannot be visited), and its eccentric medieval-looking tower on the Ile d'Or island, the Cap du Dramont cape entices a visit.
In an hour and a half, you can circle around the cape by foot, walking by cliffs that plunge into the sea, by Aleppo pines trees and by cork oaks in the small inland forest. The footpath is well-maintained and a nature treat for hikers of all all ages.
The rich waters around the cape attract divers as well as fishing boats and a few kayaks that make their way from the nearby bay of Agay.
