  • ... and definitely not the worst. Carlington is a mixed bag of new development, military and low-income housing. Change is underway and has been for some time, with rental and military homes becoming owner-lived properties. The new owners (like me) are taking pride in their neighbourhood. From one street to the next, you'll experience a different flavour. Well manicured lawns and gardens on one block and living room furniture as lawn chairs on another. Neighourhoods close to Merivale Road and into Caldwell do have a suspect reputation but it's balanced with the renewing of the surrounding area.
