Mundo E is the "alternative" mall for the "Northern" Mexico City inhabitant. It contains mainly boutiques and a multiplex like cinema, but also houses a couple of nightclubs and a full service gym.

Mundo E's construction was started previous to Mexico's 1994 crisis which caused it to halt. It's initial purpose was to be a mall like Plaza Satelite, innovating by bringing US department stores (like Dillard's).

During the years of economic recovery it was rebuilt without so many department stores but instead included themed restaurants to draw crowds.
