Named after General Douglas MacArthur (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_MacArthur), this bridge is one of the few places in Taipei to memorialize a foreigner (only George Leslie Mackay, the first Presbyterian missionary to Taiwan, and President Franklin D. Roosevelt also have this honour).
