Lviv Stadium to Euro 2012 is one of the eight stadiums where the event of third significance in the world will take place – UEFA EURO 2012. The Stadium is one of the newest in Europe where the demands of UEFA are taken into consideration: new technologies in construction development, in digital and mass media spheres. A biggest part of demands are aimed at improvement of fan’s comfort and safety during the football matches. According to the stadium development conception, it is expected that it would become a center of sports, cultural and business life in Lviv.
The stadium is designed to accommodate 34 915 spectators, 300 seats will be for VIP guests in VIP zone and approximately 150 seats in Sky Boxes zone. The seats in the stadium are arranged in such a way that wherever you sit the effect of what you observe will be the same. The roof of the stadium covers all the seats, a part of which will be transparent.
A peculiarity of the stadium is a promenade which separates streams of visitors between first and second tiers. Public catering are situated in the promenade. At the same time, it is an important link in the system of spectator’s safety and movement.
The stadium was opened to the public on 29 October, 2011.
