  Particullary famous for the Crau du Roi beach. At 22km long this is reputed to be the biggest nude beach on the French Mediterranean coast! It is a place you can leave your cares and everything else behind. Good access means it's particularly popular with families. In mid-summer the beach gets very busy close to the car park, but a stroll along the shore will be rewarded with peace and tranquillity. Refreshment vendors operate in the more populated areas. Practical info: From Aigues Mortes take the D979 south-west towards Grau du Roi, but before entering the town turn left on to the D62B for Port Carmargue. At the next junction turn left again, signposted Phare de I'Espiguette (lighthouse). Beyond the lighthouse there is a huge pay car park by the beach.
